# Upgrading the Smart Contract The newly created meta-universe does not have any land-related smart contracts. You must complete the following actions to activate land use rights, building rights, and smart contracts before you can open and set up land forging related settings. 1. Click on the backend management page and click to continue the contract activation process. 2. Click to forge the land use rights contract and complete the interaction with the contract.
